Steve Rogers Isn’t Captain America and The God of Thunder is a Woman
Marvel is turning things upside down. Following on Tuesday’s announcement on The View, of all places, that a woman was going to be the next God of Thunder they announced tonight that Steve Rogers would no longer be Captain America. Where do we start? I think first we must say, “we’re sorry Thor, it seems that Marvel has just demoted your. You should have taken better care so as not to lose your status of “being worthy”. Hope Loki doesn’t give you to much grief about it all.” And then we can move on to this latest shake up. So as I started to say… tonight Marvel did it again. Shook things up that is. This time it was Captain America’s turn as Joe Queseda announced on “The Colbert Report” that Sam Wilson, the Falcon, would be the new Captain America:
Robbed of his superior strength and vitality, Steve Rogers must surrender his blues for a sturdy cane. He’s not about to fade away just yet though. The old maxims hold true: If dead men declared the war and old men talk about it, a young man must rise and continue the fight. If Steve Rogers can no longer hurl his mighty shield, then he’ll hand it to one who can carry it across the battlefield, above the clouds, to greater heights than ever before.
This fall, Sam Wilson flies where eagles dare, as the intrepid Falcon assumes his new role as Captain America.

Two down, one to go? Tony Stark may want to look out as he, or should I say, Iron Man would be Marvel’s third big gun. Could he be next for a shake up? There is still a week to go until San Diego Comic-Con International, but at the rate the news has been breaking from Marvel this week I wouldn’t say it would take that long to hear if there was going to be a third big change coming. What I wouldn’t do for the power of an Oracle right now!
