MISCHIEF with Monte Michael Moore
An exciting new Art Book from Monte M. Moore, an award-winning artist for 20 years in the comics/gaming/pin-up and fantasy industries.
To say that I am excited to see Monte doing a Kickstarter to produce his next fantasy art book would be an understatement.
I was first introduced to his art in the late 90’s through my local comic store. They quickly realized that if they got a new print in by Monte, all they had to do is show it to have a sale. Yes, they had found my weak spot. It was a couple more years before I had the good fortune to finally attend San Diego Comic-Con and meet Monte in person and even have a sketch done. I even remember roughly where in the convention center his table was that year. Since then I have picked up every one of his art books, as they tend to require less wall space and there is only so much wall space in my home. I am proud to say that the logo for my site comes from a commission piece (Vixenation) he did for me a few years back.
But enough of my going on about being a fan of his work. Instead why don’t I just let Monte tell you about this project with the video he created just for it.
If you have yet to check out his art, now is the perfect time. Get in on this Kickstarter and help make this book a reality and in the process pick up some awesome rewards including a collaboration piece done with Larry Elmore, original sketches and so much more.
I know I will be figuring out my budget to see if I can upgrade from the pledge I made to the package that I truly would like to do and perhaps end up with perhaps a companion piece to Vixenation.
And even if you chose not to back the project, please spread the word. Not only is Monte a talented artist, but he is also a nice guy (just don’t tell him I said so) and I would love to see his project beat it’s goal by a very comfortable margin. It’s off to a good start being 64% funded within the first 24 hours. But don’t wait to long, some of the rewards are very limited and will go fast.
