Fairy tales and classic literature have been part of many cultures throughout the world for thousands of years. Many adaptations of these popular stories exist, but there have never been any done quite like this…
With so many artists and writers in one book it could very easily have become a disjointed mess. However, these stories each set in it’s own series, mysteriously work as a whole. The writers managed to convey a related theme throughout all setting the scene well for the bonus story of Unleashed. Zenescope’s upcoming offering that will pervade the Grimm universe.
The art in each story has a different feel, which is as it should be. Rather than being jarring this helps in the transition from tale to tale. The art in the included tales was perfectly aligned in both color and tone with the tales that were being told.
It was a fun book to read, and does leave the reader wonder just what impact Unleashed will have on the world of the Grimm Fairy Tales.
