Comikaze 2013 Saturday in Photos, at least the part where my mind was not blown. Saturday was an amazing day, in part because one of my goals was achieved, meeting Stan Lee. Nothing like meeting a legend to have your mind blown away, especially when it was not something you had known was going to happen, but instead occured because a friend decided they wanted to make it happen for you. Was a complete surprise, especially as it was only a week earlier that I set the goal that within the year I would meet him. I didn’t know how, I didn’t know where, I just decided it was going to happen. In steps a friend, finds out I wanted to meet him and surprises me the next day by making it happen. THANK YOU! You know who you are.
Add to this, the fact I had an opportunity that I had to turn down, to interview Alyssa Milano, which in retrospect if I had accepted the interview then meeting Stan Lee might not have occured as I would not have been where I was when my friend was able to make it happen. Another day perhaps I will have another opportunity for this interview as I have enjoyed her acting for years, and the premise of the graphic novel she is involved with, Hactivist from Boom! Studios intrigues me.
Overall my impressions of Saturday have not changed since I first wrote about them in Comikaze Day 2 Equalled Mind Blown Away. Going through the photos my mind is still blown away. It was an unbelievable day fully of fun, surprises, amazing shocks, and great people.
Here is Saturday as seen though my lens (until my mind was to blown away to think to take photos)
Hi! Just wanted to know how you were able to meet Stan Lee? We are going to Comikaze this year and would love to get a pic or autograph from him.
Thanks!
Mine was a surprise set up by a friend so I can’t help there. However, there is usually an opportunity to buy an autograph or photo opp ticket as I have a friend that was able to do that the other year.
