I’ve decided to skip ahead in the photo editing because I have been dying to share these photos with you.
Have you ever watched somebody almost giddy simply for getting to meet somebody? How about when the giddy person is somebody that you yourself were giddy about meeting in person the first time you had that opportunity?
On the last day of Comic Con I had the pleasure of watching the boyish joy as Walter Simonson made a stop by the Top Cow booth and Marc Silvestri took a break from sketching for his fans to be the fan for a bit. Once he was able to get out from the Top Cow booth Marc and Bridget Silvestri posed with Walter Simonson for a few photos while chatting. Even while posing for the photos the joy radiated from Marc.
Did I mention that while we waited for Marc to be able to take those few minutes I had the pleasure of speaking with Simonson? He had been part of a panel I attended earlier during SDCC so I was thrilled to run into him like this. Listening to him talk about his upcoming new book Ragnarök during the panel was amazing and I could have listened for hours, so I took this unexpected opportunity to tell him what a pleasure it had been. Still can’t believe that not only did I have the opportunity to speak with Simonson, but managed to do so without tripping over my own tongue (at least I don’t remember tripping over it)
