Sunday at SDCC was crazy busy while also being more relaxed. I still spent a good bit of time with the crew from Top Cow and as you could tell from the title have more photos to share the fun that was had as people came for more sketches, signatures, meeting of friends old and new.
For me this also meant finally meeting J. Valentine and Abby Dark-Star. Names I had been hearing all year but had somehow managed to keep missing actually meeting these ladies.
It meant having the opportunity to catch some more candids and posed shots around and in front of the Top Cow booth. As well as taking shots of J. Valentine with Kacie Nomura, who happened to be wearing an outfit designed by J. Valentine. (Thank you Kacie for also permitting me to take a couple shot for you with your beast of a camera… a 7D is now on my wish list)
It even included my being on the floor as they were already shutting down and the staff that was to ensure everybody that didn’t have an after-hours pass left the floor were insisting I leave as I waited for Marc to be done with the sketch he was doing so he could sign two things for me. LOL Nothing like leaving it to the last moment, but I was busy all weekend taking photos so didn’t have the free hand to carry anything.
It meant bitter sweet good-byes to friends that I won’t see until either another Con or next year at SDCC. That is the hard part of Sunday, knowing that some people you won’t see for another year. But this year it also meant getting to know two people that came all the way from Croatia… and knowing that I won’t see them again unless they come back out for SDCC.
I need to to thank you for this great read!! I absolutely loved
every bit of it. I have you book-marked to check out new things you post…
