Thursday of San Diego Comic-Con is a blur. I know I was there. I know I visited booths and talked to people, but if not for the photos I might think it was mostly a dream.
The conversation that stands out most distinctly in my mind was with Collin Kelly at the Boom! Studios booth. I stopped by to confirm something with Boom! Studios and also to see if they had any of the Hacktivist Vol 2 Issue 1 Comic-Con variants in as I have been waiting so long to read the next part of the story. End up talking to Collin who just happens to be one of the writers on Hacktivist. He proceeds to start talking about the book. I had to ask him to hold off as I would be meeting with him and Jackson Lanzing in an hour to discuss… Hacktivist and I wanted to ensure his comments were all captured to share with all of you. That conversation I remember, but the numerous other ones that took place are a blur. Not to worry, the interview with Collin and Jackson is coming soon.
Oh wait another memory has become clear… have you ever attempted to take photos of Chip Zdarsky? I love the challenge, as soon as he hears the camera or notices he starts hamming it up for the photos. The only ones I ever have of him not hamming it up are the first image shot and that is usually with him looking down at whatever he is signing. As soon as those first clicks sound he knows whats happening and the funny faces/gestures start. Don’t believe me? Check out his photos in the album below, you will see what I am talking about.
There was even the moment that Jim Balent signed the thigh of Tarot for a fan. Don’t believe me? check the photo evidence in the album below.
And now… rather than attempt to recall, possibly incorrectly at that, the various conversations from Thursday, I thought I would share the photos which are my record of Thursday at SDCC instead.
