SDCC15: When Todd McFarlane Stopped by to say Hi!

Sometimes you just have to be at the right place at the right time. Friday was that for sure. I have wanted to meet Todd McFarlane for awhile but anytime I have seen him at a con he has been swamped by fans or deep in conversation and I couldn’t wait as I had to rush to the next commitment on my schedule. Friday was a more relaxed day at Comic-Con and I was spending lots of time over by the Top Cow booth (I know, big surprise for those that know me or have followed other con coverage from GoGeekGirl.) This paid off once again. This time t was witnessing Todd McFarlane being a bit goofy as he played the slightly timid fan wanting an autograph from Marc Silvestri. The friendship these two share was obvious in how they played this as well as the interaction between the two men. They may be business partners and definite friends but the winners in this one were the fans that were able to witness the interplay.

For me it was a win as I was afforded the opportunity not only to photograph the scene but also to meet Todd at long last. Better yet was Todd spotting a couple young cosplayers that he promptly pointed out to Bridget Silvestri before jumping into their group cosplay photo shoot, most likely making some parent(s) very happy geeks as their family was photographed alongside Todd. It was awesome watching him obviously enjoy the shoot and the fans.
