While many shiver and dash from one heated space to another in December focused on sales and shopping I spent the day enjoying the sun and ocean breezes in San Diego watching families stroll along the beach or play in the sand and surf. From there I made a stop at the Torrey Pines Glider Port, unfortunately there was an accident earlier resulting in a cliff rescue (I hope those involved are all ok) this caused the gliders to be grounded. Fortunately as the day was drawing to a close a couple of glider pilots took to the air. Watching them soar in front of the setting sun was breathtaking and if not for the cold breeze (note to self next time bring a jacket) I would have wished for the evening to last a few more hours.
But you know something, why am I trying to tell you when I can show you. Here are photos from today to share with you the beauty of the day and the wonderful sunset that drew it to a close.
